Ian Taylor - Vocals, Guitar, Piano

Ian, the founder of The Colour Negative, writes all of the band's music, and his life is completely focused on his craft. His innate abilities resonate across musical disciplines. He plays 5+ instruments (guitar, bass, drums, piano, alto saxophone...) and enjoys recording in his home studio. Ian is passionate about his involvement with Gwinnett Church, and loves being a part of the Gwinnett PM community. He also enjoys photography, and he is studying Film & Digital Media in college. When asked what Ian loves about making music, he states, "I feel like I'm contributing to something greater than myself. I look at music as a way an introvert can speak to the world." Two very important things have Ian's heart: Jesus and music. He will continue to play music and encourage others for as long as he can.

London Taylor - Bass, Backing Vocals, Keys

London, the younger brother of Ian, sets the tone on stage with his electric energy and likable presence. After joining the band in early 2011, London excelled at bass guitar, and gradually began to contribute to musical composition in the studio. A Star Wars aficionado with an impressive collection of lightsabers, London enjoys performing with his musical theatre troupe and also dabbles in photography. He's always open to something new. London also plays synth during shows, and is proficient on the drums and with additional types of percussion. London is a Junior at Buford High School where he excels in academics and fine arts.

Musical Influences: Tim Foreman (Switchfoot), Roy Mitchell (MuteMath), Ross MacDonald (The 1975)...

Grant Godbee - Guitar

Grant, the life of the party, always livens up practice with his contagious laugh. He's a student at Georgia Gwinnett College, and a production director at 12Stone Church. When Grant isn't busy with church and school, he is continually forging new guitar sounds through the tinkering of electrical circuits that make up his pedal board. When he isn't working on his guitar tone, Grant can be found enjoying fantastic root beer and carving hills on his longboard. He also enjoys dinosaurs, dad jokes, deep talks, and mispronouncing high quality coffee...but mainly dinosaurs.
